Hi, does anyone have any recommendations for a budget hotel in belgium?

need it for two nights this week.. i can't seem to find anything around $80 - $90

I tried the Ibis in Gare du midi but its fully booked unfortunately.. would have been great!

thanks for your time

Does it have to be in Brussels?

Thank you very much -- no it doesnt have to be in brussels, as long as its within a 20-30' public transport ride from gare du midi, it will be fine.

Thanks a lot!

For some reason hotel prices are very expensive in Brussels for the coming week, for a decent hotel, you're looking at at least €250 for 2 nights.
cheaper rates can be found in other cities, but most are too far out (Gent or Antwerp for instance is already stretching it).

One of my (last resort) solutions when working in Brussels and paying my own expenses is the Etap hotel (http://www.accorhotels.com/gb/hotel-6192-etap-hotel-antwerpen-centraal-station-binnenkort-ibis-budget/index.shtml) next to the central train station in Antwerpen. It's about 40-50 minutes from central Brussels by train.
