We are expanding GateGuru (http://www.gateguruapp.com) in a very significant way. We recognize that there is no better group to get insights from than the folks at FT. So here is what we are wondering:
If there was a mobile product that served as the ultimate day-of travel app, what would it do for you? It would be free. Would love to hear FTers thoughts (in part or whole)?
Thanks,
Dan

Hi, Dan,
We've moved the post to Travel Tools; Travel Technology is more hardware oriented.

P.S. As a user (Android) I'm happy to hear of any upgrade / advances to Gate Guru; sure makes it easy to prairie dog around electronically and see where I can eat better.

I often use GateGuru to eat better with or without the prairie dog dance.
thanks for a great app! (I do the iPhone.)

I love GateGuru and used it quite a bit just this past week. Something that would have helped me was to have information on the hours of operation for restaurants and lounges.

Excellent point! That would be a nice "lagniappe" avoiding the occasional frustrating trek.

Dan,
I just downloaded/installed the android app. Looks very useful. I'll use it on my next couple of trips.
An initial observation - the checkpoint data looks like it is really out of date. I checked ORD and it appears all the data is 300+ days old.

How about cached data so I don't have to have an active connection to use it?
Yes, I registered just to answer that post.
