QR announced to launch service from DOH-ORD/BOS/ATL. There is no specific date to be set yet. Once they will receive their first 787-8 delivery.

Great news. QR seem to be targetting US cities which are not currently served by EK. ORD should do well considering its business links, opportunities for onward travel and so on.

the article said 'within the next year' and having seen EK announcing a quick start shortly after EY's IAD announcement, I won't be surprised if the same happened in this case.

My dream of QR's ORD service has FINALLY come true! and with a 787 no less! It can't happen soon enough.

Indeed it is kind of strange that neither QR nor EK fly to ORD (and this announcement is largely meaningless).

I am so looking forward to QR @ ORD. Infact i am travelling soon with QR but has to transit thru IAD from ORD

I am surprised that QR and EK have not started ORD yet, Etihad flights almost always seem to be full, with majority of the passengers heading towards India or Pakistan. Can't wait for QR though, it can't come fast enough.
