Unfortunately, for the second time in 2 days, the mess of LX/LH IT systems is preventing me from doing the most basic thing: Online checkin.

Two days ago, I was on a LH (220) ticket with the first leg booked in LX and the second on LH - same ticket, immediate connection (no stopover). While I was able to check in for the first leg online, I didn't manage for the second leg. Spent 30 mins on the phone but no solution - had to accept the seats left at the airport.

Now today on a LH (220) ticket and just flying one leg operated by LX. No OLCI, neither on the LH nor on the LX webpage, neither using the references, nor the ticket number, or the LH SEN number. On the phone for 75 mins (!), finally checked in by phone, however on seat much worse the reserved one. And will have to be at the airport "earlier than usual", because "there is a problem with your booking."

Had the sam eissues a couple of days ago. Simply checked in the 2nd leg on the LH page - not very convenient but did the job.

Phone support is usually very poor: 1st agent would tell me there is a problem which can only be resolved at the airport while the 2nd just realizes my ticketnumber is not eneterd (what ever that means) and 2 seconds later I could check in online - I guess my TA did not issue the ticket.

Good grief, I have a BEG - MUC - ZRH - ARN flight coming up, first leg on LH, the other two on LX, ticket bought on Orbitz. So I can basically expect a 20% chance of proper OLCI :D

Of course, I tried this as well. Didn't work in my case(s).

Good grief (...) ticket bought on Orbitz.

Indeed. The second of four agents I had on the phone complained that I bought the ticket through a travel agent, which was the source of all evil. I duly apologized for being a customer:td:
