My husband is taking a flight from Honk Kong to Chongqing and he has tried to find out the baggage-rules. Some of their web-pages say two pieces, some say one. Does anybody know? And does anybody know what an extra piece would cost?

Thanks in advance.

Xxx.

Remember Hong Kong is considered an International destination, not a domestic China one.

Have you looked at this version (http://www.airchina.com.cn/www/en/html/index/travel_information/passenger_services/baggage_information/Checked%20Baggage/3820/) of their website (China version, English language)? CA's Hong Kong site has identical information.

For "routes other than China-Japan and to/from America" if in Economy class, one bag at 23 kg and in Business or First class, two bags with limit 32 kg each. There are per-bag size limits.

Overlimit bag charges here. (http://www.airchina.com.cn/www/en/html/index/travel_information/passenger_services/baggage_information/Checked%20Baggage/3822/) It's quite expensive.

If one is Star Alliance Gold on any airline, an extra checked bag is allowed in each class of service, at no charge.
