Here's a question everybody should be able to answer:

- What is the best SAS Experience you've had in the last year?

...let's keep the "worst experience" in a separate thread ;)

no single cancelled flight within a year (after an extremely bad previous year in that respect, I really appreciate it).

Gate agents at CPH for my flight to IAD on 8-Apr-- very helpful, knowledge and friendly. .... Closley tied with a FA on IAD-CPH who went above and beyond

This is a hard one. Maybe the best experience was in September when we flew HEL-CPH-BKK. The HEL-CPH flight was quite late so we had to rush to the BKK flight. Upon arriving to the gate, all other pax had boarded, but the staff at the gate took their time to process our point upgrade to Y (requested at check-in at HEL) so we could get a decent start to the honeymoon.

My best experience was in November last year. Was travelling from CPH-EWR and was stupid enough to forget my headset at my seat. Was informed by SAS EB Customer Service that I should contact SAS in EWR. After a week I returned to EWR and in the lounge I talked to a SAS employee and she went to the lost and found area and returned with my headset.

I was a happy camper all the way home to CPH ^

For me this was a very good experience with SK.

Easy one for me.

In was going on a trip CPH-DEL in Feb with LH via MUC. Had booked a 55 min connection in MUC, which initially did not bother me as this was LH (first class airline) and MUC (first class airport to connect in). However, in the days leading up to the flight I discovered that LH2445 CPH-MUC is one of the historically most delayed flights out of Copenhagen and that this flight had a history of cancelled, 2 h delay, 1.5 h delay and 2 h delay in the previous 4 days to my flight

Now I was concerned and on the day of travel I was monitoring the flights almost on a minute to minute basis. Everything was fine and on time when I arrived at CPH, but sitting in the SK Scandinavian Lounge I soon learned that LH2444 coming in to CPH to take me to MUC as LH2445 soon got a 20 min delay, and then a 40 min delay. When the delay hit 50 min without LH2444 even having left MUC, I decided that this was not going to work and approached the SAS angels in the lounge. 5 min later they were in the process of rebooking me CPH-MXP-DEL with SK and 9W and had me confirmed 15 min later. This even left me with time for a beer in the lounge before catching the SK flight to MXP (which left precisely on the scheduled time and arrived in MXP 25 min ahead of schedule) leaving me plenty of time to catch my connecting 9W flight.

My luggage also made it even thought it had been retagged using a pen and some stickers.

LH2444 eventually made it to CPH and left about 65 min late as LH2445, arriving in MUC just in time to watch the flight to DEL take off.

^^^ to SK for rebooking me in such an effortless manner and thereby getting me to sunny Delhi instead of having LH stranding me in snowy Munich.

I just flew SAS IAD-CPH (3/29) and return CPH-IAD (4/9). This was my third time taking this flight. This time was the best experience of the three. I have nothing bad to say about the whole experience. Everything just went well.

Not this year, but I think it was last year I flew ATH-CPH in M.
Had bought a tapas menu incl. redwine.
I thought the redwine was terrible, and the steward agreed.
He walked down the plane and returned with 2 bottles of redwine from business, for free.
Well it might have helped, that he recognized me from his neighborhood. :D

A few years ago I was waiting at AAL for a domestic connection to CPH. Back then I often flown on flexible tickets, but this particular time I was actually on a rock bottom economy fare, with no status on SK.

I arrived at the airport way too early and way too tired. I have fallen asleep awaiting for the arrival of the machine from CPH, in the common waiting area, land side. When I woke up, the flight was starting to taxi from the gate. No way I could make it through security and force them to open for me :(

I went to the check-in counter, and a very nice agent has rebooked me to the next flight at no cost. She said that I indeed look as I was just sleeping in an airmchair :D

I always quote it as my best SAS experience. Unfortunately I had many bad experiences at AAL in the following years, and I would not expect her doing the same today, with general greediness for rebooking fees. But the memory is great.
