Whenever i buy through ebags, i almost always get the item on time or close to on time.

I am looking to purchase a bag from amazon that is called the ebags mother lode bag. I see that ebags is the shipper of the bag and i could buy the bag on their website. The price is the same on ebags and on amazon. The reason why i want to buy on amazon is because i have gift card balance so the bag would cost less for me. Well the thing is i need the bag in 3 days... of course not counting the weekend. According to ebags, where i put my zip code, i shoudl receive the bag on april 16 which is good for me. The thing is im wondering if i purchase it on amazon... would i still most likely get my bag on april 16? I checked amazon and it mentions 1-2 days to ship and then i have option of 3-5 day regular shipping or 1-3 expedited shipping. So if it does mean 3-5 days, then i would receive my bag too late for me to use.

Does anyone who purchase on amazon as oppose to the actual site that sells it like ebags... can you tell me from experience if the shipping time is fast? Ebags told me if i buy it now on ebags, i should receive it on april 16. But if i buy it on amazon... they dont know. For example, you can buy the same bag on amazon and you see the seller is luggageonline.com but you could also purchase it directly from luggageonline.com. Does purchasing it through amazon mean the shipment will take longer?

Anyone knows from their experience?

Unless you're getting the one with the wheels, it looks like the Mother Lode ships from eBags so in order to be safe, I would order directly from eBags.

i bought the motherlode TLS bag from ebay (ebags also sells there on their storefront). ebags will also price match from ebay or amazon since they are constantly running sales and the prices are not the same on various sites. i bought the motherload backpack version on sale around thanksgiving for $49. for this product on amazon, it would be faster if you ordered direct from ebags.

Amazon just processes the order, takes the money, and sends the information over to the company to ship. I don't believe you will get it in an Amazon box, it will come from Ebags.

My experience has been that the orders are very quickly sent over to the merchant, and in most cases, the merchant has been quick to ship stuff out.

But you don't know what e-bags policy is, they may download the orders once a day at night or something, so that there's an extra day into the time they start to process it. They may process them several times a day, who knows?

I think you would be cutting it pretty close ordering through Amazon, and if it does add an extra day it may not work out for you.

Another consideration should be the return policy for eBag on Amazon. They are not all the same. E.g. I ordered through Amazon to a vendor and their return policy included a restocking fee (for an electric blanket of all things) it cost me about 1/5 th of the total price to return that thing.

Check the fine print.

If it that time critical, why not pay a little extra to upgrade shipping?

We order from Amazon fairly often and the past couple years many of our shipments come slow via US Post Office. Your choice is to upgrade the shipping with Amazon or risk a wait.

For prices also check Facebook/EBags for deals.

You could also look in to becoming and amazon prime member.

I believe that it is like $8 a month but you get free 2day shipping along with a netflix type movie/tv viewing membership along with free monthly ebooks... which is really nice if you have a kindle.

Of course, ebags would need to be Prime eligible for this to benefit you.

Amazon Prime is $79.00 a year.

Personally, I have found eBags to ship very slowly. I hope you received your bag in time.
