Miles & More (Lufthansa, Austrian, Swiss, and other partners) - Meal Service in Y - which direction of service?

On our upcoming flight on a 3 class 346 YVR-FRA next month I managed to change our LH selected middle seats in Row 48 to 2 aisle seats in Row 58 (the actual back of the bus..). Score! As I settled back into my office chair smugly at this coup, I started to think whether the meal service started with us or went right by us to mid cabin and moved backwards! If the latter, we should have a late lunch in the airport I'm thinking cos when the trolley finally does get back to Row 58 "hours" later, I guess there'll be slim pickings! Any Experts out there who have a definitive answer to this so I can plan out our victuals for this 10 hour marathon in Row 58 ?

Front to back. But sometimes they bring you C class meals if the choice is poor by the time they get to last row.

Really?
If they run out of one choice or completely?

Front to back.
In general. But every now and then they start service right when they roll out of the galley from back to front. That happened to me lately on an A380.

I'm sure there is no rule for that. It all depends on the crew.

I agree with that assessment. I had two occurences on flights to/from India. Once I got a business dish in exchange for a run-out-of chicken dish, the other time I received what was left, and that was a very underwhelming veggie dish.
