I'll be travelling BKK-MEL (TG465) around mid August this year.

How are the seats in business class?, service?, food?

Thanks!

Here is a recent SYD - BKK report; I imagine it would be similar.

I'm not the biggest fan of the 'slip seats'. In relax mode they are fine, though when fully extended they aren't the best... with that in mind, I generally only take day flights with Thai.

I did MEL-BKK-MEL a couple of weeks ago business class returning to MEL on the day flight on Good Friday. I found the service excellent, the food OK but not outstanding, the wine selection good, the seats in 2-2-2 excellent for a day flight and the selection of classical music great - I much prefer to listen to music and read than watch movies.

I also had really nice service recently...in fact I pretty much always have. I'm aware that the main dish of any meal is going to be pretty much the same as back in Y...generally always go for the Thai curry option and it's perfectly ok. I like the IFE too...on my latest trip I flew back to MEL on a brand new MH A333 and was surprised that the Thai system was actually far better - in terms of both content and operation.

Don't really have an issue with any of the seats fitted on 777s...I have said before I find the older model on the 7443 better for sleeping...but that's based on only a couple of flights so hardly scientific!
