Bet AS jumps in on this, they have a big stake in Bay Area - Hawai'i flights. UA on the other hand is getting ready to shut down OAK, and all but closed SJC. Meanwhile, fares from SFO have been sky high $1000+ (recent thread on this).

well after looking at the HA website, the best fares from SAN to OGG or HNL price out at $400 RT minimum so either I missed the boat or this isn't much of a deal. It's def not a MR but a nice vacation for $300 RT or so...For $400 these city pairs always have $300 RT ish fares it seems.

318 to lax and honolulu is back..but very limited date(s) in May
