I have 85,200 HA miles which I continue to extend expiration (costing small amount $) hoping to book a partner award (DL, VA). Today the service rep confirmed partner awards are basically non existent through HA. I wish this had been communicated some time ago. I have spent more time on this than I care to admit. Any ideas how to use these miles?
Thanks

What routes / dates are you trying to redeem for? Seems like you
Got a lazy agent - you'll need to commit yourself to getting a little knowledge about partner award space prior to calling to have the best chance at success.

FYI - VA offers an absolute TON of award space to its partners you'll just need to know what to ask the HA rep to look for.

PDX/SGU (St. George Utah) 7/11. OR LAX/SGU 7/11 OR EWR/SGU 7/11 (family reunion folks flying different cities). Not sure it is lazy agent - I have tried for 2 years to achieve partner award. I'm ready to be done with my 82,500 miles. Thought I'd see if there are good ideas out there. HA doesn't partner with anyone to buy gc - I asked.

DL availability at low levels is usually bad. Why don't you convert 80,000 to 160,000 Hilton points ?

Hilton HHonors Transfer Requests:
Please allow 10-15 business days for processing.
The name on the Hilton HHonors account must match that of the HawaiianMiles account. Miles are sent in increments of 5,000 miles and will create 10,000 Hilton HHonors points. Per the terms and conditions, third-party loyalty program mileage transfers are not allowed.

Not familiar with Hilton as I'm a longtime *wood person.
How many nights is 160,000 Hilton points worth.
THANKS for the suggestion!

Entirely depends on which category of hotel, how much that hotel usually costs, etc. There is a thread that could give you some ideas in the Hilton forum currently which concerns buying one of the Amex packages. PDX/SGU (St. George Utah) 7/11. OR LAX/SGU 7/11 OR EWR/SGU 7/11 (family reunion folks flying different cities).

PDX-SGU is available: look for the 6:10PM departure.

LAX-SGU is available: look for 6:05AM or 1:10PM departures.

Delta shows no Low band EWR/JFK/LGA-SGU on 7/11.

Thanks everyone. I was able to exchange DL for HA.
LOVE LOVE FT! I will now celebrate my husband's 60th at his choice destination and a fellow FTer will enjoy Maui. Win Win.

So you exchanged 85,000 HA miles with another FT user for 85,000 DL miles? How did you do this? Weren't there exchange fees involved?
