Just heard on KIRO tv that a Korea Air 777 dropped from 39000' to 10000' over Vancouver Island. 140+ pax aboard. No more info available. Anyone has more details or heard anymore?

Well yes, going from 39k to 10k feet is usually one of the steps involved in landing...

Kidding aside, some media is reporting a Korean diversion as the result of a bomb threat. Reportedly landed on a military base.

Thanks for the link. More than the tv station had to say. I was unaware of the first threat.

I was wondering the same. KE has not been in the news for -/+ comments and it's surprising to see this. Flying KE 020, SEA-ICN, next week and although I'm not worrying as much of a threat, I do worry about spending my vacation time in an airport waiting to clear the aircraft. Even if it is Vancouver!!
