Questions for those who have done long term rentals. How do you handle maintenance for your rentals? EX. oil change, windshield wipers, etc.
I have a Jeep Wrangler that I want to keep for the duration of my renting( till the end of the fall probably). Would hate to have to give it up for things like that!

I would try to talk to the local manager of the location to see what you can work out. This sounds like a big YMMV situation. Possibly they could arrange to hold another wrangler for you, and just swap out when your current one needs maintenance.
Back when Vanguard was running the show, up until about 2009 or so, I was able to just get an oil change and be reimbursed on that months RA re-up. Just faxed in the receipt to the location. After the EHI takeover, there is no wiggle room. National has told me that any work done on the vehicle will void "their warranty" with the manufacturer, which stays in place until re-sale. That being said, emergency situations can arise, and I've had a couple of tires replaced on my Tahoes/Yukons where I have, again, submitted receipts and have been re-imbursed.

Along those lines, what if the car is particularly dirty and I want to wash it? Will they send it through for me if I bring it in?
April's covered my Genesis in a fuzzy green color...
Although, I guess I could just pony up a couple of bucks and take it to a car wash.

I was faced with the same dilemma today. Decided to get it washed anyways. Probably the nicest car wash my new Explorer will ever see in it's fleet life! Between the hard water stains and untouched/filthy back end they might as well not even bother running through the station car washes. A little bit of towel drying would really go a long way. /rant

Well, as my location is PHL and I live about an hour away, I have no problem biting the bullet and having my Tahoe detailed every couple of weeks. :)

Good point...not worth the time and gas to drive to BWI for a cleaning.
Gas station car wash it is!
