According to SEAT GURU there is a huge difference in the dimensions of the A380 (Version 2) PV seat pitch and width compared to the PV seat pitch and width on all other AF planes. Seat Guru dimensions are as follows:

Premium Voyageur Class A380:
49.8" pitch 26.6" width

Airbus A340-300 Int'l Long Haul
and all others
38.0" pitch 19.0" width

Are these figures correct? Also would like to know if seat has leg rest or just foot rest. And, has anyone experienced first row of PV on A380 which is supposed to have more leg room?

Anyone? I am also curious about whether these dimensions are correct.

Bump! -- Anyone know about these dimensions? I'm looking to book a trip on AF in the near future, and if the pitch in PV on the A380 is indeed almost 50 inches, then I'm willing to spend more for the extra leg room.

I happened to fly in PV both in 77W and 388 on Air France quite regularly and I didn't notice a difference in pitch. Only difference I noticed, it looks like avod screen resolution is better on 388 than on old config 77W (I mean non COI aircrafts that are brand new and can be a bit different).

doing a short trip to NRT in next week (eastbound with A380 and westbound with 777), I will tell you!

Any updates about your trip? Anyone else know whether there is additional seat pitch for PV pax on the A380?

Basically, same seat pitch. The error on seatguru has been mentioned several times, but they never corrected it. Note that the pitch for Business seat is also wrong: should be 61 not 55.

Well sorry, I finally spent a few miles to fly in J on that flight. Anyway, I went through the PV cabin in the 380, it does not look different from the 777 one. Except for one thing: it is the only cabin that does not have any restroom ;-) You have to go to the economy class or try to cross the business curtain when there is not watchdog.

Except for one thing: it is the only cabin that does not have any restroom ;-) Isn't that the same on all aircraft that have PV cabins? (back to look at equipment on seatguru:p I'm researching flights for November now and trying to see if there's a preferable aircraft - and therefore airport - to try to fly ex-US - JFK and ATL are leading the way now for price)

Yes, all PVs Cabins i have sat in do not have their own restrooms. But on an A380 the Y section on upper deck is small, so hardly any problems with using them :)

Well, in 777 international configuration, there is a restroom block just before the first PV seat, belonging to the PV cabin, not to the business one. At least on my last NRT-CDG fight last thursday.

On the 388, I agree it is not an issue ... except when there is only one toilet available because of technical issues. That was indeed the case when I flew back from Montreal this summer.

I have never been on an A380. Right now for our itinerary, PV in the (scheduled) A380 JFK-CDG is $200 more than the 777 on the ATL-CDG flight (on Air France - Delta is $400 more for the entire itinerary, which would start in another city - I assume Delta is having "W" issues...)

Is it worth $200 more per person for the A380? (considering that right now, PV is $650-700 more than coach for the itinerary....But my husband says he cannot sleep in TATL coach but he was able to sleep in PV last year....)

I know it's hard to judge value for other people, but....Give it a try:D If the seats are the same as the 777, it's just the upper deck novelty, right?

Hopefully I'll find out on my own - we ended up booking a day earlier (for an even cheaper fare) and are scheduled to be on the A380 from JFK-CDG, with the 77 CDG-ATL on return. Sadly quite booked already so we didn't get window/aisle on the outbound flight and have to sit in the center section, but we've survived that before. My husband will enjoy the window on the return in the daylight since he won't sleep then.
