Le Club Accorhotels - "Win a Million Points" & triple points for weekend stays

A mail arrived this morning for my wife's (German language) account linking to this competition (http://www.facebook.com/leclubaccorhotels/app_379675435389468).

The good news is that it is NOT necessary to have any kind of FaceTwit account to enter. My wife and I each "won" 500 points, which is better than a kick in the teeth for two minutes' effort, and have been entered for the chance to win more.

There are "only" 25,000 of the 500-point prizes available, so it may be advisable to do this sooner rather than later.

Also to add: triple points for weekend stays

booking from April 10 to May 10, for weekend stays from April 13 to June 10

500 points here too, so 24997 left ;)

Glad that this has worked for a few people who've actually seen Accor hotels from the inside. I imagine the rush will start when (if?) they get round to sending out emails in English. At that point the "free points" brigade will rush to put some points into their empty free Platinum accounts. :rolleyes:

I haven't received an email about it, but Le Club was already promoting it (in English) on Facebook last night. 500 points for me too.

The lucky draw didn't take place yet. The 500 "early subscriber" bonus was something different from that. I could use 1 million points, too...

I played and was amazed to find that I too was privileged to win 500 points............., so I played it again and it said "..You've already won, but try again in 6 days"

I'm relatively new to Accor and have only managed 4k in points thus far. I was offered a free platinum through CitiCard so took it and I'll take every free 500 point handout going.

Go for it! That's why I posted. I'm more than happy to take them as well. I'm just slightly amused by those who sign up for status (or take bonus points) that they have no way of using.

Off-topic true confessions time: I ended up giving away my first voucher and someone else used it to buy a bottle of wine at a Sofitel in SE Asia. :o My travel planning and loyalty programme management skills weren't especially advanced and I ended up with too many points and miles in too many different places. It was a good year for magazine subscriptions, cheese and other poor value redemptions -- but an awful year for status and doing intelligent things with points/miles.

After I enter my birthday into the date field and click out of it to hit the Validate button, the field immediately goes back to saying "Birthday" and the field is ringed in red with the comment "The fields indicated in red below are incorrect or compulsory". This happens whether I type in the birthday or click from the drop down calendar. Anyone else have this happen?

Games rules state points will arrive no later than 3 weeks after the end of the game which is 10 May.

I tried again today and it said I won a prize already. Which i didn't.

Call it A|Club or Le Sh*t, it's all the same bucket of junk.

Depends, it didn't work when I accessed the site in Sweden but in Denmark I could participate.

I wasn't aware there's such a promotion but I did book through Accor website. So was pleasantly surprised that the points are in already for my last weekend stay. So no complaints there. In fact, am quite impressed at it's promptness.

I must say that promo points are usually correctly handled in my experience. Some hotels can have problems (and I guess it's probably related to human error at the property) but the automatic extra credits are usually error-free for me.

Oh well, that was an hour I wasted yesterday then, trying to find out from central reservations if I would be entitled to triple points or not!

They couldn't give me any info and advised me to cancel and re-book via the link in order to make sure I would get the triple points.

In my experience, points earned from promo have been posted very late, a few weeks after the end of the promo if I remember right.

Yea.. I remember that too. Sometimes it was already too late and the points never appear on the statements. That's why I was so surprised when I read RJ77 comment about the triple points that were posted correctly.

In my experience, it's quite the contrary. Some promotions take time when it's designed to be posted at a set time, but points multiplicators are usually posted at the same time as the main points, at least in my experience.

Though the terms don't explicitly set out when the bonus points for this promo will be posted, it's usual form for Accor not to award bonus points until a promo period is over. Last time Jackpot Days ran, I got a big clump of bonus points around two weeks after the promo closed.

Anyone here already got their 500 Le Club Points credited to your account?

I haven't got mine yet...and also my weekend bonus. Accor rep. in Indonesia told me that as per Accor France information; I will earn the bonus 2 weeks after the promotion ended. So It means that 14 days after 10 May; which is 24 or 25 May. However, it's already 27 May but I still got nothing. :(

The T&C told us they'd post within three weeks after the end of the promotion, in other words it's still three or four days too soon to be worrying.

The "you've won" emails also told us that:

the grand draw [...] will take place during the week of May 30 to June 6, 2012

So it wouldn't surprise me at all if the game points don't start posting until after 6 June.
