Hi all,

I'm considering JAL for an upcoming SYD/NRT economy trip, and am trying to work out if there's laptop power available. From what I can see on SeatGuru, all JAL 777-200ERs have AC power at every economy seat, and it seems that SYD/NRT is pretty much a 777-200ER route, so it's looking good...

But, I can find nothing on JAL's site trumpeting AC power in economy, nor does it appear in any of their product photos and I would have expected at least a mention.

Anyone done this trip recently who can tell me?

Thanks!

Quick update on this search. Based on the list here (http://www.16right.com/ACARS.php?Flightno=JL0772) it seems that JL 772 is currently operated by aircraft reg JA705J which according to Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Japan_Airlines) would make it a JAL W51 configuration which seems quite popular.

So I guess the questions becomes does the JAL 777 200ER (W51) configuration have laptop power in economy... Anyone?

Yes JAL uses W51 on NRT-SYD as that's the one with long-haul products and PY cabin. You don't get your own power port in Y though, you have to share it with your neighbor. There are 2 ports for 3 people (or 1 for 2) in each row.
