Practical Travel Safety Issues - NEXUS renewals taking forever - Anyone else?

My GF and her sister, both Canadians, seem to be having their NEXUS renewal reviews taking forever. My GF applied 6 weeks ago and still hasn't gotten conditional approval. Her sister applied at least 2 weeks before that and hasn't gotten it. Stellar people, no crimes, good jobs, plenty of money, years of exemplary travel. Has NEXUS, GE and/or SENTRI approval been taking significantly longer for anyone else?

6-8 weeks seems normal. There is a long NEXUS thread in the Aeroplan forum that will have more information.

It took 8 weeks for my wife to get an interview on a replacement Nexus card after having her wallet stolen.

Why would you need an interview? I thought you just contacted the GOES desk and they had one sent out to you after you paid the fee?
