Hi all,
I had a question regarding promotional coupons (PCs). I sometimes fly into FBOs and the desk agent (not associated with Hertz) will reserve the Hertz rental with my Gold number. Recently, the desk agent added a PC code to my rental profile that must of "stuck" to my account. I can't figure any other way the PC code got on my account.
I only found this out when I reserved a vehicle via Hertz.com and when I returned the vehicle, the Hertz agent asked if I had the physical coupon. When I had no idea what she was talking about she did some typing and then I was issued a receipt. I only noticed the higher amount than my original quote when I was doing my expense report later that week. It was then that I noticed that the agent must have removed the PC code from the rental.
So my question for future rentals, do you typically need a physical coupon to redeem PC codes? I feel like this must be YMMV because unless I go into the counter service (e.g. in this case I had to go to the counter in Manhattan because there is no gold canopy), I rarely ever deal with any Hertz employees and can't imagine them asking for coupons...?
