CommunityBuzz! - CHICAGO - Chicago hot dogs & Polynesian drink Do - Mon April 30

Two Chicago gems are very close to one another in the western burb of River Grove:

Gene & Jude's Hot Dogs and Hala Kahiki, the former being a wonderful example of a Chicago style depression dog, the latter being one of the few good tiki bars left in the world. As an added bonus, Gene & Jude's also cuts & frys up their own delicious fries.

So come on out and join fellow Flyertalkers for some great dogs/fries, then we'll head on over to Hala Kahiki for some delicious island/Polynesian drinks.

We've been to Hala Kahiki in the past and loved it, same for Gene and Judes. Maybe next time.

You can go to Vienna Beef Factory Chicago in north Damen Avenue. They have a cafeteria where the public is allowed to eat. You can taste one of your desired, then buy a bunch frozen to make at home. So get whatever you want.

Thanks Sweet Willie for another fun filled evening. A small group but lots of laughs, great hotdogs and outstanding tropical drinks! Not to mention learning about Butthummers ;)

A fun evening no doubt, enjoying a classic Chicago hot dog (& awesome fries), some strong drinks (suggest the Zombie at Hala Kahiki), and talking points/miles as well as much misc topics.
