Air France Frequence Plus - I have an AF $5.5k unused ticket expiring tomorrow, what can I do with it?

I had to cancel a trip to BOM last year and my company has been on travel restrictions since so I haven't been able to use my unused ticket. It was non-refundable and issued in my name. My unused ticket expired tomorrow. Is there anything I can do with it to keep the $5.5k from evaporating into thin air? If I re-book a business trip to BOM I am not allowed to spend more than my credit which means Premium Voyager at best as biz class seems to have gone up quite a bit in price. What happens with the extra $2-3k of the unused ticket? I'm looking for advice on how best to proceed. If I could somehow play the system and get the unused ticket converted into credit that would be the ideal situation.

oops... forgot to mention I was booked on an Air France ticket.

They used to be able to convert it into a credit at most ticket offices but not sure if that is still an option. I'd call and ask?
