Given the following itinerary where would be easiest place to( in terms of having enough time and ease of getting to) have a shower. ZHR or FRA.

All flights are in J. I have no *A status.

LX87 YUL 17:00 - ZRH-next day 06:20

LH1185 ZHR 09:05 - FRA 10:10

SQ25 FRA 12:35 - SIN - next day 06:35

In ZRH does it make sense to use the arrivals lounge? Will I have enough time for that? If not what is the best lounge with showers to use?

In FRA will I be competing for the showers with other J and *A passengers on SQ25 from JFK? What lounge choices do I have?

Thanks for your help.

I would use the new arrivals lounge in ZRH (if you don't need a visa for Schengen). At that time there shouldn't be too many people there yet.

The OP is also eligible to use the Welcome Lounge in FRA (which is landside as well).

Don't know about the quality of the Arrivals lounge showers in ZRH, but in the business lounge they are quite small and the showerhead in stall #2 (2nd door to the right as you go in) doesn't remain in its holder when the water is on.

In FRA the arrivals lounge showers are great, and the shirt pressing service is ok but efficient.

probably would advise having a great coffee in ZRH and shower in FRA, but that is IMO.

Long flight though - sounds like a mileage decision :D

Yes it is a reward -- Aeroplan reward - booked when AP had their flash sale - took what I could find.

Will I have enough time in FRA to head to the FRA arrivals lounge, have a shower, clear security, immigration and make my connection?

I went to the arrivals lounge in ZRH. No issues, the shower rooms are thin as in not that wide, but has everything you need. Used the pressing service and it worked out fine. All in all no complaints. Stayed in lounge for a while, has continental breakfast. Only 3 others in the lounge so was very peaceful.

Yes you will, but bear in mind that you will have to go through security when you return to board your sq flight. my advice would be to travel very light with your onboard luggage, so that you are not having to haul a heavy carry on through security.

you should have around 45 minutes to enjoy the shower
