Koby, thank you for pointing this out. Our team across Europe will look at how these pages can better communicate cutoff times. We really appreciate you letting us know, and as a direct results, these pages will improve.
Best Regards, Michael
The Qatar Airways Community I was going to book a flight from Paris to Kuala Lumpur in November last night, because the flights are not a bad price at the moment. However the transfer return time at Doha 0n 30th November is 45 minutes and we were therefore reluctant to buy these tickets due to the very short transfer time. Of course if we missed that flight Qatar would still have to provide us with accommodation, because the next flight to Paris has a waiting time of 12 hours. If we booked the later Qatar fight instead then we would have to pay for our own accommodation in Doha, because Qatar would argue that there is an earlier flight that we could have taken. Of course even if there wasn't they would still argue that my code is W and therefore we are excluded from their free overnight accommodation anyway. Hence we would have to buy a more flexible ticket at a higher price to receive some overnight accommodation. So when you sum it up 1076 euros for two in economy sounds great but at the end of the day it would cost us a lot more. We do want to stay with Qatar but we do live in Portugal and with Emirates flying from Lisbon, once a day, from July on there new 777-200 it is becoming increasingly difficult to convince my partner to stick with the airline that we both love due to these so called strange times/deals. Currently Emirates are selling flights from LIS-BKK for 700 euros rtn and KL 750 euros rtn. The times are also good which is another reason to possibly change.

P.S We were just looking at Rome to KL on Qatar and those return flights have a transfer time of 55 minutes meaning if you missed that flight back to Rome you are in Doha for a whooping 19 hours. There is something wrong somewhere that is for sure.

Emirates new 777-200? That must be a joke. Emirates 777-200s are 14-16 years old.

45-55 mins connection time in Doha is sufficient. I had a connection time of 40 mins once, but I assume MCT is now 45 mins.

I'm not sure what the point is that you are trying to make in this post, or how it is related to the 1 hour cut-off time for check-in? But in any case, the connection time in DOH is not related to this, since you would already have checked in at your departing airport.

And if you are thinking of flying on the EK 777s (both -200 and -300) in Eco, I would take a good look at their seat maps first. You'll know why they call it "cattle class" when you see them... ;)

EK 777s are similar to QR 330s regarding seat width and pitch. EK seats are slightly narrower (0.5"), but seat pitch is 1-2" more.

Talking about transfer times... on 25th i flew MAN to HKG and I had a good transfer time of well over an hour, but QR were about to close the gate at the start of boarding time (0:55 from memory) that was printed on my ticket.

I was not informed of this when i checked into the lounge so when i set off at 5 min passed the start of boarding... i nearly missed my flight.

I asked why it said final call and it was only a couple of minutes passed the start of boarding and they stated that the plane was a long distance away so they started boarding earlier :(
