Hi,
No this is not possible, as the "Birthday" or Gold 2012 award as it is now known is only valid on TG operated flights (one way or return).

On the other hand, a GUP will apply to all Thai legs of a single RTW ticket. If you do it intelligently, you might get three or more legs upgraded.
