American Express Membership Rewards - MR points after cancelling PRG?

Hello All,

My PRG card is coming up for renewal soon and I do not plan on renewing it. My only other AMEX cards are the SPG and Amex Blue (for students). Would the MR points continue to remain in my account or would I have to transfer them out before closing the PRG card?

You have to have another AMEX MR earning card in order to keep the points. If you must cancel the account, you are better off redeeming the points.
