Virgin Atlantic Flying Club - Anyone else having problems transferring Amex MR to VS/VX?

When I go to transfer the points it tells me that no accounts are linked even though there are. They can't do anything on the phone either.

Who is telling you, Amex or VS?

My Amex rewards transfer in less than a minute ...

Did you just do a transfer in the last 2 days? Are you US based?

It's on Amex's website it shows that my account is linked and when I go to complete the transfer it says that there are no accounts linked. I had a friend try as well and he saw the same thing. Very odd.

Both your Virgin Atlantic account and your AMEX card must be in exactly the same name when you register your VA account with AMEX eg Bob Blogs not Robbie Blogs This happened to me and I had to change my VA club to exactly the same name as my amex. Then bingo the points transferred.Unfortunately it took a while to sort out as points take a couple of days to tranfer and you do not realise the problem exists.

Are you sure? I thought it was same surname?
