LAN LANPASS - LAN warns be early Semana Santa

Lan is suggesting be 3 hours before, even domestic flights, for Semana Santa. Quite right, LIM is packed to the gills... And worse 4D is undergoing renovations so reduced to 25%! Amazing the number of pax with Dunkin Donut bags to take to the outposts.

What dates are they referring to specifically --- any ideas? That is to say that I know Semana Santa ends on Sunday, April 8 but does this aviso extend through the following week as well?

The big travel days for Semana Santa were/are the Wednesday/Thursday just passed (when everyone gets out of town) and the upcoming Sunday (when everyone comes home). After Sunday, April 8 things should be back to normal for 2012.

Thanks! That's kind of what I thought but since I will be traveling a lot next week just wanted to double check.

Before I saw this thread, I was wondering why I was reading Facebook updates a couple of days ago from a friend on the bus from SCL to PMC. Alas, he's someone that can afford discount fares, but not Semana Santa fares. (For you non-Chilenos, not to be confused with that December holiday sometimes referred to as Pascua!)
