Yet another change is coming to BalticMiles. It used to be 5 points per 1 EUR in any economy class and 10 points for any business class ticket.
There will be 5 classes - Basic Economy, Economy, Economy Flex, Business Restricted, Business Flexible. Basic Economy will earn only 1 mile per 1 EUR. Economy and Economy Flex will earn 5, Business remains unchanged with 10.
airBaltic is openly telling it's customers that they are trying to get rid of cheap elites. BalticMiles is a different legal entity and there are no known plans of other changes in BalticMiles program besides this.

Not good.. Is there any programs that give an ok mileage accural for AirBaltic now?
SAS Eurobonus will only give min. 75 miles in low eco as well.

AFAIK, no. BalticMiles was kind of quite self-isolated thing from the very beginning since BT broke away from Eurobonus.
It might be worth to consider switching back to decent Star Alliance flights like LH RIX-FRA-<anywhere>, TK RIX-IST-<anywhere>, LO RIX-WAW-<anywhere> etc.

I quite often buy BT operated flight on Aeroflot metal and credit it to Aeroflot bonus. These flights also earn status miles on SU.

Yes, i am aware of that. But as i stated earlier, for ex. low eco only gives 75 points. I dont think that is a very good value...

BalticMiles, the independent loyalty program of airBaltic, has won the Global Technology Innovation Award at the Loyalty 2013 awards in Dubai. They'd created the "World's first crowdsourced tier", which received over 450 recommendations and 6000 comments when frequent fliers were asked to come up with a new tier. Key recommendations were implemented and that got them the award.

Have other airlines tried to do anything similar with loyalty programs? I know they make a lot of money from loyalty, so engaging travelers like this probably makes good sense.
