Was just looking at tickets SBA-FLL (thinking about seeing the Marlins new stadium). Sadly, $60 more at $340. Still not a bad deal out of SBA, but not really MR-worthy. Best routing SBA-SFO-CLE-FLL-CLE-SFO-SBA for $341/7441 PQM, 4.58cpm with 500 mile minimums.

SFO-LAX-CLE-FLL and back. 7,228 miles for $285 - 3.94 cpm. Looks like you have to do a Tuesday departure for this fare.

Not a specific price. It's too expensive. You can't get the ticket. Sorry!

Judging from the lack of many UA MR fares this year so far (this is already April, MR fares will become less and less), this is actually not bad, and certainly it wouldn't consider as too expensive. You should already had seen many posts on here that have CPM over 4 or even 5.

Do you even do MR on UA at all ? Since you only fly DL anyway.

Can't seem to get that pricing on ITA even for the dates you suggested...Is this gone?

Some people only look at total fare costs not CPM when posting a mileage run. If the airline looks to maximize RASM, should we be looking looking to minimize RASeqM :D

Since you're in Chicago, watch MKE and SBN to Phoenix. Proper routing can make these around 4 or less and should minimize your repositioning costs. You could even take a train to either SBN or MKE and then route your return through ORD and forfeit the last 500mi segment. PHX (and to a lesser extend ABQ) is a hidden gem for UA fliers. You can make a lot of higher priced fares semi-MR worthy.

Once you're here, you could embed a transcon to another frequently discounted location that some of us know about but don't necessarily post (MSY,GSO,CLT,ELP,COS,PHL lately among others)

Lowest SFO-LAX-CLE-FLL $309 ai. That is 6894 miles according to ITA and makes it 4.48 cpm. Can do same day turnaround with LAX-CLE redeye on outbound.
Course if you get the 500 mi minimum SFO-LAX that bumps it to 7,228 mi for a 4.27. unavaca where did you see the $285 price? I searched ITA calendar and $309 was lowest I found.

Thanks for your suggestion, will look into it.

Usually I like to reposition to SFO for a MR as I have friends in SFO, so therefore if I can find a cheap ORD-SFO (around it below $250, not necessary MR deal fares, or like last year or the year before when UA had the DEQM for ORD-SFO), I would visit friends there and add on a MR from SFO.

Fare had gone up since late last night, however it is still K class.

SFO isn't particularly good for MRs this year, either...

I just booked LAX-SFO-CLE-FLL-CLE-LAX on the 6/4 red-eye and returning on 6/5. 6836 miles / $257 cost / 3.75 cpm

I got the same:
LAX-SFO-CLE-FLL-CLE-LAX on the 6/4 red-eye and returning on 6/5
but for $277 ai. Couldn't find a cheaper fare for that run so I pulled the trigger. I'd be up for a couple of those over the next few months since time is flexible and I'm trying to catch up on qualifying miles. If anybody can find another similar deal let me know!!!
Thanks,
Tony

+1, but also connecting at SFO on the inbound. Same price: $276.30 @7,444 miles. Should have booked 24 hours ago when it was a bit lower, but had to call UA as the web site wouldn't let me work up more than 5 multiple destinations. Flying May 8-9.

I did 2 MR's to FLL in February for about the same price, slightly fewer miles. But the connections at ORD (o/b) and IAH (o/b) were tedious.

hmmmm...just tried this on ITA and the best rate I could get was $315. When did you try it?

I'm still getting $280 on ita as of 0100 PDT. Prices oscillate.

I keep getting $315 for that exact same route. The details of what I'm booking are below. Is there anything I'm doing differently?

Hmm, I see you are doing a Multi-city search. I did Round trip, and entered SFO CLE and CLE SFO in the respective "advanced routing code" windows. (Not sure if it makes a difference, but I noticed you have the "plus/minus 1 day" option on one of the legs.)

PS Just did it your way, Multi City - (blimey! That's tedious!) - and got the $315 as well. Definitely click on the Round trip tab, still shows $281. Or just call United reservations (if you qualify for fee waiver).
