Emirates Skywards - Dubai Airport check in - how many hours before flt?

I will be driving in to Dubai the evening before my flight. Instead of taking my luggage with me to my friends house can I check in at Dubai airport. It would be some fifteen hours before my flight. Would that be possible? Or are there rules re how much earlier you can check in? Would appreciate any information. Thank you.
