Any idea as to when this route will show up in the ANA Tool, KVS, etc. for award availability searches?

I can't speak for SAA, but when Ethiopian joined Star Alliance, I was seeing KVS reward availability November / December 2011 (for fall 2012) well before they had "officially" joined and put Star Alliance logos all over their websites.
Unless the reward availability is going to be limited / restricted, my guess is it would likely be loaded already.

It's not showing up online anywhere. You can't even buy tickets on the SAA website yet.

The schedules have already been loaded. However, it may take awhile for the various front-end systems to be updated with the MUB Airport Code. Until then, it would not be possible to check Award Availability on that route.

KVS,
Going by that note - the "Transit without Visa" will be acceptable, if I am in transit in JNB en route to India? even if I fly in from Maun?
What if I get to Bots via Nairobi? and then fly out to JNB and then back to India?
Thanks
