Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer - Short connection time with infant

Due to a schedule change my wife and son are flying in from HKG to SIN but only have a 40 minute connection time to her flight to LHR.

Is this feasible with an infant?

I can look up minimum connect time for you if you wish. What airline are you arriving on? and departing? Origin and destination?

Looks like you need 1 hr. In some cases 50 minutes. If SQ changed the timing. Call them and bat the ball back into their court. If you are on the same record on the same ticket as the short connection they are obligated to change flights for no fee or make adjustments.

I wouldnt book a short connection with an infant. If anything goes wrong like late arrival from HKG your wife plus baby will have to rush from one gate to another, not an experience looking forward to. If they cant make it she will have to sort a new connection with the gate agents with a baby crying in the background.
If I would sent my wife alone I would try to search for a connecting time of at least 1,5 hours, that in the event anything goes wrong she dont have to worry about her connection. Travel with a baby is enough of a challenge.

April 30 right? According to SQ website specific schedule changes on that day due to Singapore airspace closure. Call SQ and check, but I think due to the special circumstances on that day it may well be OK (but perhaps put in request for special assistance -often see agents meet flights to assist those with tight connections).

As this is the first flight of the day, the trouble is finding acceptable alternatives, as I see it the only options are:
- Travel from HKG to SIN the night before, which will involve accommodation
- Move both HKG to SIN and SIN to LHR to later flight, which will mean afternoon HKG departure and overnight flight to LHR.
- Changing travel days altogether.

If the infant is not a new-born and has already adopted to the day/night pattern it may anyway the better and less stressful option.

SQ Gates are closing 10min before scheduled departure time. Would leave 30 mins for the transfer from gate to gate. Under normal circumstances enough time.
But some things are certainly done better outside an aircraft (feeding and diaper change), so more time would allow a window for that.
