This week's strike is one of some ATC controllers who refuse to work. All is well at CDG, but cancellations happen at ORY and at provincial airports.
From the AF website:
French air traffic controllers industrial have called a strike from Monday January02 to Tuesday 3 april.
The impact on our operations is perceptible. We plan to operate all our flights as scheduled from and to Paris-Charles de Gaulle. However some delays may occur.
Besides, on request of French Civil Aviation Authorities, several short haul flights have been cancelled from and to Paris-Orly and to and from French country airports.
We regret this situation and are doing our utmost to reduce the inconvenience caused by this action.
If you have a ticket to travel on 03 April 2012 (flights to and from Europa or domestic flight whatever the fare paid), we offer you the following options, applicable until April 07, 2012:
- You may postpone your travel until 07 April 2012 included. Modification of your booking is possible free of charge in the same cabin of travel.
- You may postpone your travel from 8 to 02 May 2012 included, the modification of your booking is possible free of charge at the same fare, according to availability, or by paying the difference with a higher fare.
Other possible options:
- You may change your destination or point of origin or obtain a credit voucher valid for one year on Air France and KLM.
Please contact your usual point of sales before 07 April 2012.
- If your flight is cancelled or delayed for more than 5 hours, you may require a refund. Your ticket will be fully refunded, except service fees.
