Swiss International Airlines - Arrival Lounge at Zurich Airport now also for Star Gold (*G) members

Swiss just announced today that the newly opened "SWISS Arrival Lounge at Zurich Airport" will also be open for Star Gold members (Link (http://www.swiss.com/web/EN/about_swiss/media/press_releases/Pages/pr_20120402.aspx)). Up until now, only Swiss status members (HON, SEN and FTL) as well as Business and First Class Passengers on LX/LH flights were permitted to enter the arrival lounge in Zurich.

The Arrival Lounge, which is open daily from 05:45 to 13:00 and replaces the former Arrival Lounge in Arrivals 1, is available to SWISS status customers, SWISS Business and First Class passengers and Star Gold members.

The Swiss website (Link (http://www.swiss.com/web/EN/fly_swiss/swiss_lounges/Pages/zurich_lounges.aspx?1333395495723&Country=CH); see on the very bottom) hasn't been updated yet... hopefully the lounge staff will be informed about the changes soon. Or do you think it's best to print out the published news?

Apparently, LH doesn't allow arriving *G members (from other FFP than M&M) to enter their arrival lounges. Hopefully, SWISS will stick to their new policy and perhaps pave the way for other M&M members (especially LH) to follow.

Again, one less reason to stick to SEN instead of going for one of the cheaper *Gold options.

While it´s unlikely I´ll be able to take advantage of this benefit too often, I greatly appreciate this change.^ (though I can see how SENs may be unhappy about this change)

It´s good treatment like this which makes me choose LX over LH when possible.

The press release seems to have been updated, and there is no longer any mention of access for *G:

As the Swiss website (http://www.swiss.com/web/EN/fly_swiss/swiss_lounges/Pages/zurich_lounges.aspx#access) also does not list the Arrival Lounge as accessible for *G, I assume the *G mention in the original press release was in error.

Is there anyone with first-hand information that has tried to enter as non-M&M *G?

And where is it exactly in the public area? I think the map of ZRH (http://www.zurich-airport.com/Portaldata/2/Resources/images/maps/Ankunft_2_gross.jpg) has not been updated yet. At least I cannot spot it.

The arrivals lounge is located after you exit arrivals B (after customs) - just go to the left and you'll stand in front of it.
It's very nice - plenty of showers...

There signs in the baggage reclaim area that state 'Swiss Arrivals Lounge'. I was *G and arriving from LX short haul on J. The food isn't that good to be honest...

Is this since the new Arrival Lounge opened last month? The new lounge is not in the baggage claim area but after the customs in Arrival Hall 2.

Yes, it should be to your left after you exit customs; I was just there two days ago! Very new, but the food selection was mediocre at best
