From end of this month (4/30/2012), TSA-GMP will be launched by 4 airliners, total 2 dailies.

China airlines: 3/w, Mo,Th,Su
TSA-GMP//GMP-TSA 0925-1245//1345-1525 738
Eva airlines: 4/w, Tu,Fr,Sa
TSA-GMP//GMP-TSA 0925-1250//1350-1520 MD90
and tweaked on Wednesday:
TSA-GMP//GMP-TSA 1545-1915//2030-2200 MD90

From Korean side, 2 LCCs got a chance
T-way airlines: 4/w, Mo,We,Fr,Su
GMP-TSA//TSA-GMP 1110-1245//1400-1725 738
Eastar airlines: 3/s, Tu,Th,Sa
GMP-TSA//TSA-GMP 1110-1300//1400-1730 737-700

So, more or less consistent schedules are offered everyday although two different airlines are operating from each side. Each flight is limited to 200 seats, so there's no chance of fleet upgrading for a while. This will be T-way and Eastar's first international route out of GMP.

Also in this bilateral, ICN-TPE frequency has been increased too, by 4/w from each side, so there will be some competition going on this summer.

Yay! Seeing as TSA already had flights to SHA and HND I was wondering when GMP would be added. I love the city airport flights in the GMP/HND/SHA "triangle" and now TSA/GMP are finally connected.

You know what would make this more awesome? TSA-SJC. Take city-to-city flights to a whole new level.

I'm only half-serious about this; it'd be ridiculously incredible, but I doubt it'd really be all that sustainable.

Most of the SJC traffic would prefer TPE I think... closer to their final destination at the Science Park.

I don't think CI or BR have equipment that would be very suitable, though. ANA's only using a 787; would a 777 or A359 even be profitable?

777 or 359 would be overkill for TPE-SJC for sure. This is a 787 route at best, maybe as a continuing service to BOM with a stopover in TPE (SJC-TPE-BOM) that should be highly appealing to some tech company employees.

CI and BR are not known for their forward thinking so they probably will not venture beyond SFO. Just like they stick with LAX instead of trying out ONT, which is much closer and easier to access for vast majority of their LA O&D passengers in San Gabriel Valley.
