I have over 60,000 early return miles. I mostly only travel back and forth from my home town to Dallas. Now I find out they have stopped non stop flights their and are going through Denver with a massive 2:30hr layover.

They have an option to exchage through points.com

Would I be bonkers to exchange 60,000 miles for 10,000 AA miles?

Strongly considering it.

Yes you would be bonkers.

You could get two RTs or take three companions on F9.

Concourse A at Denver is a good place to connect.

Then you could move on.

That would be a very poor exchange. Sit on them and then take a vacation sometime that isn't DFW. You can get 2 R/T tickets on F9 for not even enough for a one way on AA.
