I am just on my way from BKK…
These are the rumors I hard in BKK earlier today:
- TG will work on creating yet another Low Cost subsidiary focused on flights to Greater China (including HKG, replacing TG metal on this route) – this subsidiary will not be a *A associated carrier
- This will not affect Thai Smile Low Cost project (Smiles will be a *A associated airline, right?)
- Nok Air will not be affected, either (Nok is not a *A associated airline, right?)
- Talks with Tiger on creating yet another Low Cost airline focusing on low yield destinations (like MNL, HAN, KIX) will resume next week…
