We've got the day in KL on Wed on the way through to the Perhentians.
We usually stay near either KLCC Suria or KL Sentral (if just transiting), but this time we're staying in Bukit Bintang for a change.
Any suggestions of how to spend the day? We're planning on having a few swims in the hotel pool.
Will be keen to do some walking around after being cooped up for the long flight there but I know KL is not very walking friendly.

Cant agree with your statement, I guess you have never been to Hanoi ;)
Other than the heat & humidity (which is similar throughout most of SE Asia) the BB area is not any worse off than other major shopping district in Asia . I would even say it's more pedestrian friendly than Bangkok and or par with Singapore. In any event most shopping malls are air-conditioned and your walk would be mainly indoors.
I would probably spend the day window shopping or eating at one of the many food courts (Pavillion is quite impressive) and the evening discovering Jalan Alor (food street) nearby.

hey great info !....is that Jalan Alor near the Sheraton Imperial? We will be staying there in mid May for 4 days until our departing flight from KUL. Need some things to see...........suggestions?
We ended up staying at Furama hotel $66USD plus tax in Bukit Bintang, went to imbi market in the morning, ran around getting a SIM card cut down to micro SIM and those kinds of jobs, had a couple of swims in the small pool at Furama, and ate at Brickfields for lunch and dinner. Annalakshmi for the lunch buffet and Gopala for dinner (both favorites from previous trips, vegetarian indian).
Am currently transiting again through KL (on way back to NZ from Perhentian Islands and Redang) and staying at Summer View in Brickfields, which we've stayed at before. It's 140 MYR/night. So a budget hotel, but nice, but with no reports of bed bugs which lots of KL hotels have. Booked direct with hotel for Summer View and through Agoda for Furama. Had nice Petronas towers view at Furama.
