Hey guys,
I just booked a CDG-LHR flight in premium economy. I couldn't find an option to select my seat anywhere, so I hit experflyer and saw that the whole economy cabin is in airport checkin only. Is there a way of going around it? What's the best way of getting good seats?
Thank you.

For most European airlines (including AF), it's not possible to pre-book seats for medium haul flights. So you can choose it at check-in only. Do OLCI 30 hrs before flight time.
I believe Premium Eco only lets you choose your seat at OLCI. To book your seat in advance you need to book Premium Affaires.

Sorry but BA let you choose your seat in any class if you are Gold. I think that it also applies on most LH Group flights for Senators/Hon. They also have a policy of blocking seats next to/behind these. AF is the only major European airline where that perk is not offered to elite+ members.

I knew for BA but not for LH (thanks for the info). But, with the concept of variable cabin size (by moving the curtain) depending on bookings, applied by most EU airline, how do they do that if you can pre-select a seat at the time of purchase ? I believe this problem is the main reason why AF let you pre-select your seat only for C bookings.
