Transiting SIN airport to KUL airport does one go through immigration control in in Singapore or does one stay in the international transit area at SIN and clear immigration in Maylasia at KUL ?

Depends.

If you take an airline that arrives into the budget terminal, you have to clear immigration in SIN and re check in for your onwards flight to KUL at whichever terminal.

If you are connecting via Jetstar or Air Asia at Terminal 1, you have to clear immigration and check in at the departure hall.

All others, proceed to airline transfer desk airside.
