Virgin Atlantic Flying Club - PE on A330

I am due to fly MAN-MCO shortly, in PE. The seatmap shows the plane contains PE and Y only. Has anyone flown this plane? How does it compare to PE on the 747? Purple seats, or " old " PE?

You are on one of the two new A330s that entered service last summer. They were started as 2 class because there was a problem with new UC seat whcih has been resolved and will be fitted on the other A330s due to come into service ovber the next few months

They have the purple leather seats (the cloth style ones will be replaced during the forthicoming LGW/MAN fleet refits)

Thanks for the replies. EF shows several (but not all) seats in 18 vacant. However, the seat map on the VS site shows that row as full.

Will they become available at OLCI? Or assigned on a first-come, first-served basis at the airport?

VS boringly keeps the front row of PE back to airport check-in, then allocates it in mysterious ways. You can try ...
