Hi,
I will be flying from ARN to PEK in a couple of weeks in C class - the only options I have given meeting schedules etc are SK via CPH or Thai via BKK.
What would you choose with respect to:
1) C class product
2) EB points
Thanks!

TG - no brainer. They sell old F as C on ARN/CPH flights:
- only 14 seats
- 2 dedicated F/A's
- sort of self service 'bar' area (in front of 4E/F - do not book these seats:p)
- if you are lucky they might send an aircraft with new F (happens sometimes) - just make sure to assign seats that are available in both old and new F (Seat Guru will be your friend) - as 4 folks would then be downgraded to 'normal' C

Not such a No Brainer if you consider the 25% extra EB points you get if flying SAS :D

Having to choose between points or product... don't you hate it when that happens ;)
Going to PEK via BKK is quite a detour compared to the connection via CPH. But I agree with the remarks about service and the BKK-PEK leg will probably make up for the 25% bonus with SK. So if you have the time and like spending it in an a/c, go for TG.

Why not try the nonstop CA flight (if you're flying on or after 1 June 2012)?
They're (thankfully) resuming A330 service to ARN which has lie-flats or a fully-flat bed if you're lucky.

...oops, just saw how you said SK and TG are your only options due to schedule.
toyotaboy95, I would suggest to avoid CA (even First) and stay away as far as it's possible.
For these 2 options, no reason to think about. Only TG, even with detour (even though their check-in at ARN is usually terrible mess).

Honestly, they're not that bad after all my flights with them. Either average or surprisingly good at times. Also depends on the aircraft type.

I agree with toyotaboy95. Air China isn't that bad. In economy, I would avoid the 777, but take the CA A330 any day over TG's ancient 747s and SK's A340.
In C, however, I would probably say TG (old First) over SK and CA.
So may we know which airline the OP finally chosen;)
