WORLDWIDE TRAVELER Mar 28, 12, 4:19 pm No sorry it is for residents of New Zealand only Shazzadude Mar 28, 12, 4:26 pm Ok. Unless you plan to come here and do a domestic flight, I don't think there's anything you can do with them. Thai-Kiwi Mar 28, 12, 6:10 pm A regional Y award in europe on *A? Shazzadude Mar 28, 12, 7:20 pm Do they have a reward flight that low? Xiaotung Mar 28, 12, 7:22 pm A regional Y award in europe on *A? The cheapest *A award is 250 APD plus NZ$100 booking fee. AP is an even worse program that I thought - sorry...... 123dd Mar 28, 12, 8:17 pm Isn't hotel or car hire an option? brenrox Mar 28, 12, 9:36 pm https://www.airpointsgifts.co.nz/Pages/Default.aspx get some wine^ Xiaotung Mar 28, 12, 11:32 pm https://www.airpointsgifts.co.nz/Pages/Default.aspx get some wine^ I am sure they don't ship to Vienna. libertyuk Mar 29, 12, 4:27 am Like was said before, you need 250 Airbucks to get a Star Alliance reward ONE WAY. You can spend 220 Airbucks one one way long haul standby upgrade on NZ from economy to premium economy, bookable no later than 30 May (but can be for travel after that). The quickest way to get from 140 to 220 is a return business class ticket say VIE-LHR. Unless you are expecting to travel to HKG or LAX (or AKL) on NZ later this year, then it's hardly worth it. To get the 250 you'd need to fly business class return to somewhere more than 2000km away, like CAI. Unless you're obsessed about extracting value from this, and prepared to pay more on other flights than the value of the redemption, then you probably are best just to let it expire. Conclusive but don't forget everytime you book a *A reward there is a NZ$100 per booking service fee. To book a one-way short haul reward is hardly worth it. Thanks to all of you for your input, shame there is no way at least for a donation. Shazzadude Mar 31, 12, 6:03 pm Can you not nominate the AP Dollars to another passenger for use? They have to be living at the same address-I presume no-one in his household is planning a domestic flight within New Zealand anytime soon. usa18dca Apr 1, 12, 6:36 pm They have to be living at the same address-I presume no-one in his household is planning a domestic flight within New Zealand anytime soon. I could change my address while I live in NZ for 2-3 months :D. |
