Hi All,
At the beginning of Nov. 2011 I purchased two economy tickets from webjet.com for my kids (JFK<->LAX<->PPT) for our vacation in Tahiti (Moorea and Bora Bora) at the end of July (4 months from now) I also booked two J tickets with AA on the same flights with AA miles.
Two weeks ago, my father who lives in China was diagnosed with late stage lung cancer. I just returned from a 10 day trip to China visiting him. I only have 4 weeks vacation time a year and it looks like at least this year all my vacation time will be spent with my father so I am starting to cancel all our vacations. Since I did not buy any cancellation insurance for my kids' airline tickets, I will be left (after fees and penalty) with about 2.8K (USD) worth of Quantas credit. These credit can only be used before Nov. 2012 and only on Qantas flights. My problem is Qantas does not fly to China so these credit are almost useless to me. I am wondering if anyone here is interested in buying the 2.8K credit with some discount (I can probably book the ticket(s) for you). Any suggestions? I thought about posting on CC but since exchanges there are not necessarily endorsed by airlines I figured I post it here first. I might also cross post it to some Tahiti (PPT) threads.
