Avis - Which is better to transport 6 men: Minivan vs Large SUV?

Will be traveling from Philadelphia to Montreal in a few weeks and was looking at my rental options. There will be 6 men total + luggage for a 4 day trip. I have settled between the Dodge Grand Caravan or the Chevy Tahoe. I have never been in either vehicles before.

Minivan will be more comfortable with more space. Tahoe will be a lot more fun to drive.

Agree on both counts! In either case, I'd try to use an upgrade coupon to see if you can't get a Suburban (or even Expedition XL) as that would have the most space and be enjoyable to drive.

As much as I hate minivans, they're probably your best bet. They're easier to crawl around in than a Tahoe or Suburban

If you decide on an SUV, I wouldn't get anything less than a Suburban. I've made tens of thousands of dollars for various companies upgrading people who thought a tahoe would be an ideal vehicle for 6 or 7 people.

They're great if you have no luggage, but if you do, Suburban.

Go Grand Caravan. Did it as one of the cars for my brother's Bachelor Party. Much more comfortable and cut our gas bill by 2/3 compared to the SUV we were looking at. We also had my ipad with me and set it up as a tv for the back 4 seats and plugged into the sound system. Made passing time much easier.

Looks like I will be going the minivan route as this is the most effective and all the upgrade coupons I can find only apply to small cars, otherwise I would go for the Suburban.
