Hi,
I hv not stayed in any accor property for nearly past 1 yr and now my accumulated a club points ( thanks to long stays at a Adagio property ) are coming close to expiry ..
As of now, there are no plans for any hotel stay in Accor property because of changed corp hotel agreements, so what are the options of having a trxn in my account so the points don't expire ?
I see the following options :

1. Book a room for 1 night, check in and then checkout next day without staying ..
2. Book a double room under my name and have the 2nd person stay there..
3. ??

Any other ideas ?

thanks
Abhi

Thanks for the reply..
I was looking for ways to extend the points in the A-club account itself.. since I am hoping to use them during a personal vacation somewhere in Thailand or its surrounding areas in the next 1 year..
Though I can order the vouchers and then keep them for another 6 months I would hope to get the points extended if possible to hv more flexibility ..

I think you know the answer already, book for a night at the nearest accord hotel.

Just a confirmation needed..
If I book a hotel for USD 50 + pay for bfast USD 15.. and pay part in vouchers and part cash.. we still get points and 1 night credit right ?

Basically if any part of the stay is paid in cash/ CC then nights and points credit is there right ?

As long as you're not using 3rd party consolidator like hotels.com etc and some employee's rate, you will get your points for the cash portion and qualify as a stay.

I completed my stay in an IBIS property yesterday.. I ensured that there was some amount to be settled in cash and while checking out, I paid the same in cash ( approx Eur 5)...
The staff said that as the amount is so low ( Eur 5 ~) its not eligible for points  .. I told them nevertheless, please input my membership number since I need the night credit for my points alidity extension..

My question :

1. I don't see any rule for having to spend minimim amount to get any points credit . I only see 1 point per Eur spent in IBIS. Is this rule there ?
2.Even if I dont get the points, I should get the night stay credit right ??

My points expire in 2 days and hence am worried, since its about Eur 600 worth !!

Seek advise..

Thanks

Perhaps some one who reads the Le Club's T&C can better advise you. As I understand it, your vouchers that you used is as good as cash, that won't affect your stay status.

I am sure the amout paid by vouchers are not eligible for points but am not sure if the night is counted if small amout is paid by cash..:(

Seek advise from more knowledgable experts ..

I never noticed before (so not sure whether it is new), but there is a minimum (and maximum) spend specified in the T&Cs:

In order to earn points, the eligible amount per night must be between:
— 15 and 3,000 € per night at Sofitel, Pullman, and MGallery hotels (excluding
Thalassa sea & spa).
— 10 and 1,000 € per night at Novotel, Mercure, and Adagio (excluding Adagio
Access) hotels (excluding Thalassa sea & spa).
— 5 and 500 € per night at Suite Novotel, ibis, and all seasons/ibis styles hotels
(excluding ibis budget and Thalassa sea & spa).
— 5 and 3,000 € per night at Thalassa sea & spa hotels.
