US Airways Dividend Miles - Enovy award redeposit fee if buy-up to CP after purchase?

If I buy an Envoy award now as a Plat, but then buy-up later, can I redeposit my points without charge or will it be based on the status at purchase?

I think you would... I don't recall any experiences where status on purchase date holds like that. Same situation as if you bought a coach r/t today for future travel and then you made CP between now and the departure date. Your upgrades would process at the CP (not PP) window.

I actually just did this exact thing.

I bought an award and was only Gold Preferred when I redeemed for the reward. I've since made CP and wanted to cancel and redeposit the points for this award I bought as a GP. I wasn't charged any redeposit fee.

So, I would expect that you will have no problem getting your points back without any fees either.
