one night mid week stay; booked via Virtuoso
booked classic at 315 Euros; upgrade to Executive with Opera View
impressions:
room was nice size; AMB goodies included water (no fruit), cookies in a tin or a baggie- I think one was Virtuoso. Internet removed from bill- again, I think this was Virtuoso
opera view was nice to look at but very, very, very loud with traffic and the rumble of the metro. not worth it if you need sleep... or even a bit of peace and quiet for a few moments.
Club was included with Virtuoso booking- not sure what the fuss is all about. it is small, the food and drink area poorly laid out behind the staff desk. food quality blah. breakfast blah.
location was fine for cabbing to Champs; Gare St Lazare is indeed a quick walk. Made the mistake of taking the Roissy bus to St Lazare from CDG- mid day and took 1.5 hrs of stop start traffic.
On balance? I would stay closer to the Champs for touristing or even business next time.
