Six Continents Club SCC is a customer appreciation program. You don't earn award points or airlines miles with SCC. You can only collect status points and nights (for qualifying to the next level of SCC). Only valid for Inter-Continental hotels. You pay for the card (~150$) and get a free voucher for a weekend night. benefits: - room upgrade - Late check-out (4:00 pm) and express check-out - Complimentary newspaper, Welcome gift, Fresh fruit and mineral water - Complimentary weekend night certificate 2.) Priority Club If you have 1.), then you get Platinum status (top tier) http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif For the benefits: see (http://www.e-traveller.net/fgp/toptier01.html) (on the second table below) ernestb Mar 16, 03, 7:55 pm Hmm I cant imagine you staying at one of these properties perhaps your just after another PLAT card.. Jeesh its just amazing how much one will go for a card! Internaut Mar 19, 03, 1:14 pm It is well worth noting that SCC has three published tiers (if there is anything higher than this, they don't market it to the riff raff). A colleague recently reached the highest of these tiers (Ambassador) and the treatment he's received at Intercontinental properties since has been excellent (for example, a suite while paying rock bottom corporate rates, free mini bar etc). That said, for anyone who stays at Intercontinental properties a few times a year, the base level is IHMO well worth it. |
