Goof find but chances are it won't be honored.

The hotel will just say ' the website was wrong' and charge you in USD.

See this thread:

[EXPIRED] Ramada Mexico City Airport: 70pesos ($5US) a night for a suite (http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/hotel-deals/1289174-expired-ramada-mexico-city-airport-70pesos-5us-night-suite.html)

i believe, if you book via logitravel.de (its a travel website like expedia.com), you will be charged by logitravel in euros. also, if you access logitravel via cash back site qipu.de you will get 13 usd cash back. ultimately, this hotel stay can be for free.

I'm not very familiar with WN's program. It looks like their saver awards require 60 points per dollar, making 600 points worth $10? So you're paying $7 to get a $10 WN credit? That's 30% off.

Of course we're dealing with something more than 9 months in advance so Wyndham's partners, rates, and even the no-show policy could change. Fortunately this rate can be cancelled if necessary but I don't know if we'll have $7 charges on our cards for nearly a year.

You can book it with 1k bmi in mind ($15?) and settle for 600 WN in case bmi is not there anymore. Obviously, to have $7 on your card for a year before you get the miles is not such a good idea. However, they might have another promo then, like 10k points for 2 stay, like they had few month earlier. I tried to book microtel, but it says after you enter cc "rates have changed"

Maybe a no-show will work, but as always... who nose.

Wyndham's official policy is to give credit for paid no-shows. The T&C for this rate state that you will be charged for a no-show, so it should work.

Points for No-show not worth it for me,
thought a long weekend in MEX next FEB would be worth gambling on,
but on second thought, no...

I'm not sure that would work for no-show credit but it should work if you actually want to use the nights.

I did some bookings for Jan 2013. They are now starting to show up on my Amex at full $ rate.

BD not earning miles anymore, and no WR promos, means I will cancel the remaining nights as IIRC they were fully refundable. Then dispute the rest.

If I fully understand the Ramada program, aka Wyndham Rewards, there is no possibility to gain something from these reservations? No promotion around and also no status tiers in the program, right? Crediting to any airline programs makes no sense either. The only good thing would have been bmi, right?

Almost spot on. No status. No current promos. $ based miles is of no help, and what remains are a few FFPs with fixed mileage, where BMI was the best.

However even the mistake rate wouldnt justify those BMI miles alone.

They do but whats the points to have stays when they dont have status, and no stays promos. Without promos, no point (pun intended) in point promos either, with or without mistake rate.

Tried to get in on this back in late 2011 for stays in January 2012. Almost makes me wonder if these "mistake" rates are on purpose. Anyway, never got any points for th no show's and in fact I ended up having to pay for the first couple of nights which thankfully were only about $13 in total. Total waste of time, unless you plan on actually staying in the rooms and even then a big risk given it is in Mexico.

Be aware of the fact that the reservations for Culiacan cannot be canceled! I realized now. We must closely monitor the charges on our credit card for these reservations!

I also remember a Wyndham mistake rate in China,
where I also figured there was no upside to playing the no-show. :)

so... "catch-and-release".

Has anyone else received any points from this mistake res, I have a stay coming up in 2 days and I was seeing if I should cancel it or not. Its not worth keeping if no one is getting points for no shows.

I just had a stay here on the 22/1 and I cancelled the res beforehand. I just checked my c/c and they have charged me the full rate of the stay. The res says 319.95 mex peso and was charged 1338.75 mex peso.
