Europe - Help! Atlanta-Paris-Istanbul itinerary question
Hi all. I am planning a trip to Turkey in August. The outbound route I'm eyeing has a connection in Paris-CDG (ATL--> CDG --> IST). How much time do I need to allow at CDG to give a safe cushion for clearing customs and continuing on to Istanbul?
Greatly appreciate your help!

I suggest a minimum of 2 hours.

Since Turkey is non-Schengen would one need to clear customs in France?

No. The OP will not have to clear customs / immigration at CDG.

You do not need to clear customs/immigration at CDG. If your itinerary is on one ticket, you will be fine with any connection time that the airline is willing to ticket.

IMO this depends on the airline combination. This is true for a DL/AF combination, however, I'm not sure about a transfer from AF to TK as they leave from T1 which is not linked to T2 where you arrive on DL/AF. It might work however for UA/TK.
